In Kyoto we visited many impressive temples. The red Torii-gate, at the edge of the temple grounds, symbolizes the frontier between real life and spiritual life. There were even mini gates on an altar in this temple. All the beautiful details that stood out to us during our inspiration trip to Japan made their way into the one-of-a-kind jewels in our ‘Japonais’ collection.
