Is an engagement ring always white gold with a diamond?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are no strict rules. Choose a colour gold that fits best with her complexion. What is your partner wearing at the moment? That is a good indicator of her taste. \nWe at Oogst create engagement rings <\/a>in four colours; white gold, rose gold, yellow gold and ros\u00e9 gold. Very often there will be a diamond as well. On which hand do you wear your engagement ring?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Just like the colour of gold there are also no strict rules for which hand you should wear your engagement ring on. But there are traditions and guidelines here in The Netherlands. The Catholics will wear their engagement ring on the right hand and the Protestants on their left hand. In Anglican countries the engagement ring is always worn next to the wedding ring on the left hand. In The Netherlands you wear them on separate hands, but together is also becoming a more popular option. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also have a practical view and wear the rings on the hand you use the least. And if your spouse is from another country it might be fun to find out what the customs are in their home country. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I know what ring size she has?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To measure another ring which is worn at the index finger is always useful as a guideline. You can bring it along or measure the inner diameter (in mm) yourself.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you can\u2019t do this without being caught, than we suggest to have the ring made in an average size as a starting point. If the ring does not fit properly, you can come back together so we can measure her exact size and adjust it. That\u2019s part of the service at Oogst.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the right budget for an engagement ring?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

How much do you want to spend on it? Some say you should spend 1 months salary, others say 3, but more importantly what is your future fianc\u00e9e longing for? How long does it take before the ring is ready?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you choose a ring from our shop we can put it in a beautiful box straight away. The making of a bespoke engagement ring takes about 4 to 6 weeks. If it has to be ready sooner because the Eiffel tower is calling you, we will try to do everything to finish it earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
